Screw won't come out.

On the front face plate there is a screw that won't come out.

It's really loose in the fitting i.e - you can rotate it with a screw driver really easily, but it won't tighten or loosen.

It's not caught on anything and yet it won't come out.

I've sprayed it with wd40 and still nothing.

Any ideas?

Try getting something behind it to apply pressure to the thread and then try to unscrew it whilst applying pressure.

Tap it with a stick welder and give it a pull with the welding rod

sounds like the threads have been stripped and i would go with putting a small screwdriver behind it and apply pressure while turning
