OK so it looks like another CG copy, but I heard that these things go for £1200, which is £800 less than a new CG.

So my question is, has anyone heard anything about these things or even owned one? If so what was it like? how much did you pay for it? where from? and whats the top end?

I think that the styling on it looks a bit better than the CG, and so we could have a nice, cheap little learner bike on our hands.

Let me know what you think..

cheers

Looks ok to me. If its the same as the other not-CG's then it should be of decent quality.

J&S near me has had them bike's in for ages, they look good and well made. They are much better than the CG's (brakes, looks, instruments, wheels). Think they are about £1200 in J&S but you should be able to find them cheaper from importers, some one in my class at college had one, he got it for £1000 brand new.

Did your friend say what he could get out of it?
I should imagine that it will do about 65 - 70mph.

The engine looks exactly the same as the cg engine so i would expect top speed to be around 60-65mph and maybe 70mph+ on a long straight/ down hill.

You'd be better of getting something like a CG125 and just using that. They're well made and basically bomb proof. Thumbs Up Have a look on Ad Trader to find one near you. Just spend like £800 at the most as it will do the job just as well as one which costs twice that and won't loose as much money on it when it comes to selling it.

What Ste said. An older CG125 is your best bet, even the oldest ones are still going strong. Reliable, cheap, low running costs etc etc. If you desperately want a new bike go for a Kymco Pulsar 125. Very simple CG125 copy and brand new for £1699. I haven't heard of the bike you'd suggested if I'm honest.

Answers of that question are above, general answer is that no one has heard of it and it looks the same as the CG125, but you'd be better off getting a second hand CG125 for the reasons above. Thumbs Up

Or were you just wanting someone to say they're really good and for that price you should get one!!

did my CBT on one, the one i used was a bag of shit...correction the two i used were bags of shit.

First ones died everytime you let the clutch out, second one refused to let me block shift, so if i stopped in a hurry i ended up in 5th gear at a stand still unable to change down without turning the engine off so i could let the clutch out :/ Thumbs Down

But the bikes were 3-4 years old and had spent their entire lives being used and abused by clueless learners.

so in a way it probably means that thing things are decent given that they hadnt completly packed up after enough abuse to kill most bikes Thumbs Up

The kymco pulsar has a bad reputation going by reviews, the build quality is meant to be poor and they are difficult to sell on. With a Cg you will be able to sell it on easily and get your money back as they have a very good reputation for being very reliable and excellent for commuting.

Hi,

I bought a RSR125 last June time. I've had nothing but problems with the thing.

The major issue with this bike is the electrics. They are lousy! Bulbs last about a week. I've now replaced pretty much everything electrical. They are a chinese version of a CG from what i understand. Getting specific Baimo parts can be a nightmare, it took months for J&S to get hold of a new back light unit.

Luckly a good few CG parts fit on it, as i found out when the clutch cable snapped recently.

The engine is the only real + i can mention. It seems to have taken the good points of the CG. ie. It NEVER goes wrong. It just runs forever and i get about 120MPG out of it. Since June I've done just over 8000 miles (I ride a fair bit!) Never an engine problem. It's not the fastest thing in the world topping out around 60MPH.

The great thing about the RSR is that they are cheap. I bought mine 2nd hand, with only 200 miles on the clock. A guy at work bought it for his wife. She never got to grips with bikes and never passed her CBT so i got it basically brand new for £800. To be honest, knowing what i do now. Given the chance again, i'd buy an older CG.

The reason it's so cheap is that it's made on a VERY tight budget. I've never had an accident, yet still i need a new mud guard and side panel where they have snapped by roads flicking up. I had a CG for years and never even chipped it! The horn is held on by a small bit of plastic, which surprise surprise, is in bits!

If people want info, pics or just have questions, feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Same address if you want to purchase a Baimo RSR125. Go on, it's great! Laughing

my lights keep going mainly the rear lights both filerments blow and it is becoming very annoying, i have been told by the people at j and s in cowplain that it is becouse i over rev the bike too much but the only time it gets over reved is when i am on a duel carige way or droping down a gear to overtake. one of the side panals has broken the peg that hold it in has snaped so it is duct taped on which looks shit. and i hit a pot hole the other day which snaped the front mud guard and i have had to bolt it back on. all in all i would not recomend this bike coz i think it is pants. Thumbs Down

OK, that all happened to me!

Back light is famous for blowing. Best thing i did was replace the regulation rectifier and it worked well. Soon started blowing again though. I think it's mainly due to vibration, they ain't the smoothest rides in the world. You can get LED bulbs. I'd say to give one a shot.

Side panels always do that snappin thing. I found what caused it on mine, the seat would drop lower that it should when you sat on it and the little rubber blocks that go between the seat and the frame wear real quick. Simple way i fixed this and saved more side panels was to get some rubber door stops from wilco's and srew them into the bottom of the seat in place of the bits of crappy rubber. Worked a treat!

Front mud guard. Piece of crap! I snapped mine REAL fast! Called J&S and they got me a solid metal one, worked a treat.

I did have problems with the speedo to begin with, needed to change the cable.

The final thing i'd say to watch out for is that rubber gasket thingy that connects to the carb. The rubber perferates pretty easy, but they are dirt cheap to replace.

How much would a second hand one be worth? I've had mine for a year and a half and I'm selling it, maybe on ebay or something.
