Anyone got any tips or obvious do's and dont's I should know before even attempting to do this?

Use a hair dryer to soften them up, and rub any glue residue of with WD40 and a rag.

I used a fan heater and a wd40, worked fairly well.

Be carefull not to hold the hair dryer still on one bit of the fairing for to long as it might melt your fairing, this is probably obvious but I just thought I'd mention it anyway.

When debadging my field fiesta I used a heat gun and then went over it with T-Cut. A bit of White Spirit helped too.
