Since i've put in for my cbt,i've been looking at mcn for used bikes, and using their insurance search for quotes.
Now I'm getting phone calls of CIA insurance for every quote I go for.
Starting to get a bit annoyed with it.

I found that by making lots and lots and lots of different quotations (loads of different bikes) over a short space of time, the calls from insurers soon stopped. Apparently i've got something like 500+ quotes on the Bike Insurer's systems now Razz

Tell them not to contact you again if they call again, sign up the Telephone Preference Service, and make an official complaint to the company's complaints line. Email a complaint would be better though. If they were the likes of some other companies on here i wouldn't bother even giving them benefit of doubt and try going straight to the osbudsman.

I always put down an old number, it means nobody else gets a call with your name, but at the same time, whenever they call, the only person likely to pick up is my mother, and she'd be so confused it would be worth it just to listen Razz

In cases like this TPS is no good as part ot the conditions of getting the quote will be allowing them to contact you.
But once they have and you tell them to stop, thats another matter.

Hence why i said to do both, as well as telling them on the phone to stop it. Cover all the bases and strengthen the case for harassment that you are building Very Happy

I always put the phone number of the phone box across the street, it'll ring for ages without anyone picking it up!
