Honda XR125 Problem

It seems i'm burning oil.

Did an oil refill around 10 weeks ago and noticed recently my bike has been very sluggish and clunky.

So i emptied the current oil and replaced it with another load. After taking the old oil out i measured how much there was and 250ml was it. I remember clearly i had put 0.9 litres in on it's previous refill.

What could be causing this and is it a huge issue?

What does your spark plug look like.. pop it out.
If its coated in black shit, you are burning it.

I know for sure it's burning as 750ml of oil cannot vanish in 10 weeks.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

i know 250ml stays in the engine when you change the oil but shouldn't have lost that much

check under the engine for leaks

Just check under my engine, no sign at all of oil, marks or anything of the sort.

So no leak but burning oil Really haven't a clue what it could be

when you did the oil

did you pour it in and then check the oil ? or put it in, check it,then turn the engine over a few times and check it again?

Put it in, checked it, run it till warm, let it cool for 2 mins, then checked again.

see if the end of your exhaust is oily

maybe have a look in the airbox aswell

Just checked both, Airbox is completely fine, exhaust end isn't oily but i have a small hole at the beginning of my end can which has a black coat around it, not oily though
