Rolling Eyes We see rain, the bike dies.. .typical Laughing

Rained bad this morning.. bike was fine..Left work today, wasnt raining... all good.

Got about 50ft from my door and the weirdest jerking/popping noise happened.

Got to my door with clutch in... the temp shows around 80, which is fine, but it swaps itself for the letters FI every 2 seconds.. so 80 ... FI ... 80 ... FI Confused

It "fires" and pops ... ive got it running since, but now its just popping.
Had it looked at saturday morning, he said valves sound perfectly fine, chains a bit tight and fork is leaking but aside from that, the mechanic was cool with it.

Any idea wtf could have caused this?! I have to go to work tomorrow Laughing

Look for a plug with 2 wires going to it in the left of the tailpiece. Probably ha a rubber cap. Move it to where you can get at it without turning off the ignition (or carry a spare key). Next time you have a FI light use a paperclip to jumper these two wires and it will give you the fault code. You have to do it without turning the ignition off (though you can kill the engine) because the fault is cleared when you turn off the key.

could be the SETT valve (think that is what its called) on the zorst. Attack it with some WD40 on the valve and tap it with a small hammer

C33 Rolling Eyes

Have removed and about to clean them... the connectors look all white and furry, with like "mould" looking stuff over them Laughing

My bedroom in the flat now looks like my dads garage...

Had the same thing happen to me, FI cut off for a second during an overtake in 3rd at um, not 60 MPH. Shocked I've seen some shrooms in the circuitry in the tail. Smile
