NEED a freeging puller for my klr600, 1990, ( also have 1984 one)

How do i measure the internal thread for the puller?? Would i measure the actually inner of the thread or the outer?? if that makes any sense?

Ask Kawasaki and then said £166 for the tool Shocked

What are you trying to pull off - the flywheel? Dunno about Kwaks, but on Suzukis one of the engine mounting bolts or the swinging arm pivot bolt are usually the right thread for the flywheel. Just screw it in, tap the end with a hammer a couple of times, tighten it up again, another tap and off she comes Thumbs Up

never though of using anything like that but its a reverse thread dought any of the engine bars were, cant rember will have a gander 2morow though.

i am trying to measure the internal thread of the magnet

there are two parts to a thread, diameter and pitch, to measure the diameter you will need to use a vernier caliper or similar to get an accurate size, to determine the pitch you need a thread pitch gauge. This looks like a collection of very small saws and will tell you what the corect pitch is. add the pitch to the inside diameter to give the OD of the puller, which will be something like 24 x 1.25 mm. Alternatively ask your dealer what size the thread is.
