fzr 250 help with rattle noise and parts

ive just got a 1988 fzr 250 its now all running and electrics are good
its starts up but theres a rattling sound coming from the exhaust
which im assuming is the exup valve are these easy to get to so i can check/clean and grease the bugger up
also any ideas where to get a side fairing from r/h lower side
as the one on it is cracked beyond repair

Dragged these off the net, it may not be as bad as it sounds, could just be the bushes or in need of a clean It is a common problem though!
