Hi, I'm having a problem in finding out what fork oil I should be using. One of my local dealers tells me that I should SAE 10w fork oil. Another tells me I should use TQF fork oil.

Any one have any ideas.

The other thing is I'm about to change my chain and my front and rear sprockets as they have worn out. What I'd like to know is what no. teeth sprockets should I use front and back.

At the moment my NSR125R has a 13T Front and a 35T rear, with these I find that I blast through the gears very quick. Should I change to a 14T front and stick with the 35T rear or change to a 36T.

Any comments would be useful.

Thanks Damo.

The honda manual specifies ATF fork oil, till it is 130 mm up the fork, measure from the top obviously, pump it before measuring. Put the springs in after you have filled it with oil.

EDIT: just did a search and came up with this on the sprockets:

NSR Sprockets 14T-front 36T-rear (125Rmodels)
NSR Sprockets 13T-front 35T-rear (125F,S,RV,RS Models)

i use SAE 20W which is a grade higher . the suspension is a bit harder but fine . i think for a nsr125R de-rectricted 14X39 is the best final transmission
