or what else is good to use?

I use the old fork seal to push the new on in.

Keep meaning to try one of these funky "drivers" but never get round to buying one.

I measure the fork tube and then go down to Homebase and buy a piece of PVC pipe the right diameter. Then I put the old seal over the new seal, put the PVC pipe over that and hit it with a rubber mallet.

Old seals (I cut a 1cm section out - makes it easier to remove it aftwards) and rubber mallet.

I do the same as Marje. If I can't get pipe in the right diameter, I buy a bit slightly too small and cut a slit up the side.

Make sure to spend some time cleaning up the area that the seal sits into. You want it to slide into place and not get caught on anything, or having anything under it stopping it from seating squarely.

I put the old seal on upside down then wrap loads of electrical tape around the chrome and use that to drive the new seal in

When you slide the new seal on, stick cling film over the fork first. ALWAYS USE GOOD QUALITY SEALS And make sure you get as much of the old fork oil out as possible.
