A Suzuki GP100. It's in very good nick, runs well and will do the short commutes nicely.
It cost £400 and added £40 to my insurance for the year, which I can't complain about.
It's a good bike for me to learn how to tinker with engines too - as apparently they're easily tunable - I hope to get it to go faster than 50mph without any hill/wind assistance which is all it could manage on the test drive.
I'm picking ip up on Saturday - pics to follow. ____________________ Shaft drives rule. |

OOOOHH!!! Welcome to the 100cc Crew Nice little bikes those GP100s, and it should be able to do more than 50 (Specs say around 70mph), may well need a de coke. May also be worth checking the ignition timing if it still doesn't go any better, apparantly they are quite sensitive to it. They are quite easy to tune, if you can pick up a sport exhaust from a RXS 100 I belive it can be made to fit, also a GP125 top end will bolt straight on I am told . Keep an eye out on ebay for parts for these bikes, as they are outragiously cheap quite oftern. Just out of interest what year bike is it?
Enjoy, Jonathan ____________________ My bike: 1988 Kawasaki KH100 Status: Polluting Devon with two stroke smog and noise pollution!

Well I'm mainly part of the 900cc crew...but thanks for the welcome.
It's a 1990 bike.
I'll run some redex through her and take her from a long spin (until I get bored of the lack of power!) and see if that helps things.
70mph would be nice, though it felt like it was only geared to about 65 before redline but that was from my test ride so we'll see when I actually pick her up.
So bloody light compared to my XJ900! Yeah, obvious I know.
1/2 weight, 1/3 speed, 1/9 power but ah, the smell of it!
So how far will a tank go (fuel and oil), and how long does a tank of oil last?
With this bike I won't be wasting my money on TTS - so what oil should I go for?
Cheers! ____________________ Shaft drives rule. |

Mine will do about 80 miles on a tank before I fill up when thrashed, but I belive the GP has a slightly bigger tank and slightly better economy. Just keep and eye on the level as you run it until you get used to it. Can't comment on the oil, I always check and top mine up at 50 miles (when it doesn'nt need much, it's just to keep me assured there is plenty of oil in the bike), again you will have to get used to it I guess. A word of advice would be to always carry one spare spark plug and a sparkplug socket with you, as the bikes can oil up the plug around town.
Good luck with it, ____________________ My bike: 1988 Kawasaki KH100 Status: Polluting Devon with two stroke smog and noise pollution!
