Hi again everyone. At the risk of asking a dumb quesiton, I got a question about oil changes. I changed the oil on my bike myself for the first time. It's a Kymco Pulsar 2010 that uses a metal sieve oil strainer, held in place with a spring under the cap. It's shaped like a thimble. I didn't pay very close attention to the orientation of that bit when I took it out. Am I correct that to put it back in, you have to put in the oil strainer first--with the opening against the inside of the engine--then put in the spring, then screw in the cap? The manual doesn't really say anything, unfortunately.

Ah thanks. Yes it's a copy of the CG in most ways. Though the 2010 model at least seems to have a small difference--it didn't have an oil drain bolt at the bottom and it caused a small oopsie as I managed to remove the wrong bolt while looking for the drain bolt (the manual was not clear about this neither). It turns out that to drain the oil was to remove the filter cover, and if tilted on the sidestand it seems to drain all the old oil out.
