Hey guys/girls as the title says I have just come off my ZX6R for the first time. It wasn't to bad and I am not it shock or anything, I am however very pissed off Sad I seem to have spent so much time dealing with mechanics lately with my car and bike. Finally i get them both working smoothly and this happens!

I was going a bit too fast around one of my favorite corners but no faster then i have gone in the past. My rear tire is getting a bit on the bald side but i thought it wasn't dangerous yet. Add a bit of mud on the wheel into the equation and you are left with me sliding along the road thinking "FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!! Pleeeeeeasse let the bike be ok!!"

Unfortunately the panels are mega scuffed up, i smashed an indicator off and oil is pissing out of the gear box. Do you think it is going to be expensive to get road worthy again? I am not bothered about the panels i will touch them up myself, i just want to ride again soon!

Thanks for reading. I needed a place to vent ^^

Sorry to hear you came off and glad you are ok, but we need three thigs to help you.

1. A paint Diagram of what happened

2. pictures of the damage so we can help with the repairs.

3. Your addition to the 2011 BCF spill counter.

+1

Glad your okay. Bikes are repairable, humans always aren't Thumbs Up

Take this as a lesson for the future, you may have done the same speed previously on the same corner but i bet there wasn't the same road surface. I.E loose gravel, mud, wet, oil, diseal etc etc. You never know whats around the corner.

This! Expect dodgy picture and shakey phone pictures.

Bonus Karma point if you provide a picture of the crash scene (bit like the Triumph that took a dive in the grass a few weeks back)

But glad your ok. Thumbs Up

Send a pic of your engine damage. Kawasaki casings are made from jacobs cream crackers so it doesn't need much to have them compromised and heamorraging engine oil!

What model ZX6R is it?

My suggestion is to get some decent engine bolt mounted crash bungs for future instances because I learnt the hard way too. It damn near cost me the value of the bike to get her restored and roadworthy!

Plastics you can get chinese panels just for the sake of having undamaged fairings on the bike. But definitely show the engine damage. Might need welding up if it's the actual crankcase.
