ok, so I was getting a sore arse riding the zx10r all the time, so i decided to sell up and the next logical step in my head was a sports tourer or something. Made sense too me? slow down a bit, get a seat that wasnt made of wood an not havin my knees touch my elbows did sound slightly appealing.

yet, typically I must have blacked out or something because 3 days later i was the owner of a Hayabusa

Now that I have come to my senses I have been lookin into the whole history thing and iv reached a loss

according to the chap i bought it off, its a 2000 Model and looking around the net just provided me with confusion, apparantly (and correct me if im wrong) the 1999-2000 models or early 2000 models were equiped with 220mph speedos. and that after that they were limited to 186 and had respectivly, 186mph speedos.

but as i believe, the bike i have is a german import, and it is in Kmph and the speedo goes upto 300kmh, am i right in thinking this bike is then a 2001 busa? or a limited busa? did they even make 350kmph speedos? why did i think with my penis upon purchasing this machine?

anyone shed some light onto this headache for me?

thanks in advance, appreciated!
G

Does it matter? its a comfortable machine with LOADS of stomp? Does it matter if it doesn't *quite* do 200mph?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

You'd have to be a moron to buy one of the 186mph ones rather than a 200mph one. Who they hell wouldn't want to get everywhere 7% faster?! I mean you're going to feel such a twat as you pootle along down an A road at 186 when someone pulls out and overtakes you on an unrestricted one.
