don't live there but visited Gozo for a week last year, (if you're looking to get away from it all go there, it's tiny and really undeveloped)

great snorkelling/ diving if you like that kinda thing.
we hired bicycles and Gozo was small enough to cycle across in a little more than an hour. (i wanted to hire a Cub90 but had to be sociable as was there with 8 mates)

Me and the missus went out there last autumn and had an awesome time. We're going back again in a couple of months. Some of the countryside isn't up to much (it's a bit barren) but it's warm all year round and really friendly. Diving-wise, it's awesome if you're into wrecks and caverns etc, but it doesn't have all that much by way of coral and reefs.

Been a few times and love it. We usually stay in Bugibba in the NW of Malta. Valetta (capital city) is well worth the trip and will cost you about 16p for a return bus ticket.

Try to go to the go-kart track, its immense and can be booked from one of the many trip organising places.
