Don't you feel like your tempting fate? ordering a bike for the day after your test? Surprised

It would drive me nuts if I had that bike on my drive and could not ride it Confused

You can always look at it, or polish it.

I recon that, that bike will scare you when you ride it. So be careful, please! Smile

Dealers won't let you leave with a bike until you can show them proof of insurance.

As said, TPO on a 6grand R6 (extremely nickable) you're clinically insane.

Is the bike financed or paid for outright?

Well you're not. Razz

There's no way you can be insured without a licence. To be insured on it now you must have lied to them, saying that you have a licence now, or that you'll definately have one on the 4th, neither of which is true. Confused

I just hope you pass - 'cos you're pissing money away with insurance if you don't!

Good luck. Thumbs Up

all paid for in cash

yeah the insurance is a bugger, but the prices they wanted for fire and theft was just stupid i mean they weren't like under or just about £1000 which i wouldn't mind paying, they were talking ridiculous money, but either way i have lots of security on it and such so i hope it will be ok, i mean like i'm getting it on sat, and the insurance has been all paid for as well in 1 go so i cant cancel, so to put me mind at rest i'm just hoping security wise things will be ok.

but cheers for everyones concern and input much appreciated Cool

Sorry for being intrusive, but how old are you? Just so we can guess/see how much would be a decent quote tpft for your bike would be.

SNAP!

Congrats on the choice of bike, the R6 is a great ride....my first bike was a R6 even though i was recommended to get a CBR600, looking back i would now agree even though i was lucky not to come off.....i can see how someone who maybe wasn't as mature as myself could lay the bike down (36 when i first bought the R6)
Just take it easy ...get use to the bike and its power and most of all RESPECT it ......just have fun Thumbs Up

I recon if you search around, you should be able to get realistic quote tpft.

Usually when insurance companys are giving you excessively high quotes it is another way of saying F*** off! Pardon my French...

You just have to find a company that will "take you seroiusly"...

I'd go tpft every time.

When I first got my zx6 at 22 I was being quoted over £1400 by some companies for TPFT.

Rang around a lot and got it down to £500 in the end... it was about the thirty or forty'th company that I rang that got it down to that, so you do have to ring /every/ one.

I was obviously insuring it for a bit less (£4k) and it was a bit older (about 9 months old). However, you should be able to get it down some.

(Just read you already paid for insurance, oh well nevermind.)
