I've got slight cracking on the tread of my front tyre...

Attached a picture to show

Hard to tell by the picture, but is this ok? Or am I likely to get a blowout? I reaaallly can't afford another tyre... Sad

That looks fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

Should see the rear tyre on my CG Laughing

A blowout is more likely through the sidewall. Is it new? You should be able to check the year with the number after DOT. on the side of the tyre.

Legal limit is 1mm for bikes but 2mm is better.

That tyre looks almost done.

That's fine, if you worry over a teeny crack you would have died at the sight of the tyre on one of my bikes!

I think it was my ZZR600, I had a slash across the rear, about 3 inches long, and I couldn't see how deep it went.

Never gave me any trouble.

I've never seen a set of tyres without small cracks in. I think its just natural.

Cracks along the sidewall are another matter all together though.

Cheers guys, didn't want it to spoil my ride out to Squires this evening!

Looks worse in person because my phone's camera is garbage. Seems like some of you guys have survived worse though so should be ok!
