Can anyone help. I own 8mth old RS2 Matrix and I am having trouble with it already. The electric start will not start the engine. The start motor turns over fine however the engine will not fire, yet it bumps fine and runs perfectly, no misfires or anything.

Any ideas ????

The warranty is no good as the main Rieju dealer has gone bust and the only way to sort it would be to send it back to Spain Doh!

But iyou can take it back to any Rieju dealer, there are lots of others in the country have a look at this list on Google.

Not got any ideas as to what the problem might be. Thinking Will it start off the electric start when it is hot, or will it never start with it? If it will never start with it, part of the electrics are dead (will be under warrenty as it's only eight months old) the alternator maybe (not an electrician I'm afraid).

I saw a ninja 600 in the petrol garage the other day. and he had the same problem. Hi bike wouldnt start woth the electric, but i gave him a push across the forecourt and he droped the clutch, and it fired up and run perfect. I saw him again and he had a flat battery AND his HT lead has a weak connection.

Good luck!

Ben...

That's a bump start you've just described. Make the back wheel be turning fast enough, then drop the clutch whilst sitting on the seat normally, and the back wheel is turning enough to start the engine.
Thumbs Up

Piston rings are worn thus not creating enough compression to start.

thank you all for your replys but it has now been fixed. It was a fuse between the starter motor and the engine........... bloody foreign bikes. Regarding the rieju dealer list I appreciate that.
