any one know if/how i can take the 8mm threaded bar out and put my own longer one in,??( the bit that push's the piston)

i cant get it apart at all grgr, even using the double nut technic to undo all the nuts on it.

or i am going to have to thread some alu and make an extender Rolling Eyes

I don't know about on Brenbo's.

On other bike's I've done it on, the rod has had a kind of 'ball end'. This being a hemispher with the curved end pushing up onto the actual brake and the flat end being held with a circlip to prevent it falling out.
Usually has a rubber seal (which I can't see there) over it.

Hi

On all the Brembo ones I have fiddled with on Aprilias and the like that rod would just pull out. However it acts on the piston, and I suppose that on that m/c the threaded bar could be part of the piston.

Get the nut out of the way and then have a look for a circlip holding the piston in place.

All the best

Keith
