well, it's not technically a CG, it's a chinese rep, the warrior dispatch.

apparently it starts misfiring at about 60-65.

The guy says its' carbs are crap since they're cheap chinese replicas, could that be the problem? a spark plug problem?

dont think they have a limiter, they just run out of guts and top out.

try thrashing it in a lower gear and see if it missfires or not. If not then as said above its just the bike topping out rather than it missing

Had misfires on an old CG of mine. Was told CDI unit faulty, replacement fixed the problem.
Not sure if this would be the cause of your probelm as your bike is new.

It sounds like it is at it's limit!

How many miles has it done?

The guy said it could be the CDI, he's an experienced biker *cough* police *cough*.

I mean 60 as in top end, not high revs just being thrashed kind of top end.

and yes, that is as fast as it'll go.

I havn't experienced this first hand, just the current owner telling me the secrets behind the bike.

It's only 2 years old, and the guy owned a 50th anniversary 800cc VFR. Which my dad has just bought, which is how we stumbled across the CG.

with an 800VFR I can't suspect the < 14.6bhp 125 gets much action.

If the bike has been stood it could well be the CDI and/or the wiring then.
From my experience keep using a bike and it's fine. Park it up for any length of time and it just rots from the inside. Electrics seem the first to go Confused Sad Shocked

He uses it, but it's not a problem because the bike is knakered through overuse.

I don't think it's a problem because it's been stood, the bike is only 2 years old, and this guy is seriously loving with his bikes (you should see this vfr) New rear shock, new race cans, new wheels, scottoiler system, and it's pristine.

Anywho, I suspect this is a problem with the CDI, and I suspect it was like that straight out the box, being a cheap chinese copy and all...
