 |
|
Did my good Samaritan act for the day earlier - was out at the local shops when I heard the unmistakable sound of a car with a flat tyre approaching.
True enough, a few seconds later a MX5 with not just one, but two completely flat tyres came into view. The (middle aged female) driver seemed quite unconcerned and pulled into a nearby parking space.
Being the nice chap I am, I wandered over to the car and tapped on the window. Excuse me, I said, do you know you've got 2 very flat tyres?
She opened the door and looked, then looked quite shocked. Oh no, she said, I didn't realise, thank you very much for telling me.
If it had been only one flat, I'd have offered to change it for her, but because it was 2 I asked her if she had any vehicle recovery service membership - she had AA cover, so I explained to her that she should really give them a call to come out, because it would be quite dangerous to carry on driving with 2 tyres so flat.
The tyres were almost hanging off the rims, so I can only guess she'd been driving like that for a little while - how the feck can she not have noticed??

I once followed a renault van (tranny size) down the duelly with the rear tyre shreading spraying hot rubber and smoke everywhere. After much flashing and indicating the old timer pulled over and was totally unaware! The rear was swaying all over the place! ____________________ Eat well, poo hard

When I was doing a stint as a tyre fitter a few years ago we had a middle aged woman come in for a new tyre, it was in the boot and she had fitted the space saver spare. When I had fitted the new tyre I jacked the car up and the wheel moved "err excuse me miss, did you know there's only one bolt holding that wheel on?" Oh yes, but it's okay because that's the locking wheel nut..... She then got the other 3 wheel bolts out of the glove box along with the lock bolt key |

We did wonder about that but she was convinced that because it was a 'locking wheel bolt' that it would be fine
How people like that manage to live without killing someone or themselves must prove that luck is real and it looks after idiots |
