Oulton on the 28th has fallen through, so I'm doing this instead. Anybody else?

Links: Novice / Inter / Fast - Spaces in all groups, but going quickly.

I was looking at doing the 'PACE' day at snett:
SATURDAY 16th OCTOBER

£99 for a weekend date.
You get transponders fitted to your bike so you can see laptimes.
Laptimes are used to place people in different groups and for the order that you go out; so that everyone is riding with people of similar abilities.
There are more Marshals, hopefully meaning less red flags.
They ask people in the novice group to keep a bit of distance on corners so that new track riders aren't worried etc.

16th October would be tempting as it's my weekend off.

Silverstone made me realise how rusty I have got and want to get out on the track a bit more now.

Will have to butter-up the other half though.

How much track time do you get with this PACE thingy? I like the idea of having "legal" laptimes so would be up for that instead / as well Thumbs Up

You still get the standard 6/7 x 20 minute sessions or so.

Thinking may be up for the 16th

will see nearer the time, depending on cash and I'll have to 'up-gear' the bike for the weekend as my top speed is currently wank

Even for Snetterton I'd have the bike a bit downgeared.

You'll probably get faster lap times because not only can you get out of the slower coners quicker, but you'll get to your top speed quicker, which may mean a faster time on the straight.

I'm currently 3 up on the back 1 down on the front, was thinking of going back up 1 on the front as I'm topping out an indicated 130 which would be around <110

Either way I'll adjust the gearing to give me a bit more top-end

My r6 is more downgeared than that, though makes more power, but when I had the KR1S there it was more downgeared than that and probably had less power than your bike.
Allthough I got to top speed just after halfdown the start finish straight, it seemed about right for the track in general.
There will be plenty of people with tools there, so you could always change them on the day (either way).
