My RST jacket is pretty short though, I think the main reason is so it doesn't fold up when sitting on the bike.

I am tall and have a tribal jacket. I only ware it with my tribal trousers, i have to pull them up quite far to reach the zip, but they ahve given a lot so its much better now than it was.

Yeh they are designed to go with the trousers which I don't have atm, though the jacket is supposed to be short at the arms and waist I am presuming.
