... Well, I'm actually from stoke, but moved down here to get a job!
Anyway, im 24 so went straight from nothing to DAS this year, passed first time and got myself a Ducati monster 696, appreciate this is a ridiculous first bike and I've heard no end of "should have ridden a 125 for a bit first" but at the end of the day, if I wanted to be really safe I would have kept the car, plus I tried plenty of jap bikes and the Monster just stops go's and turns better, sounds made but it's an ideal first bike, light small and dead easy to ride... If anyone is thinking about it as a first ride, don't write it off straight away
Living in Kingston at the mo and commute to work in NW London, out and about most weekends too, hopefully will see some of you guys out and about |

Thats not a silly bike at all
I know people.. such as a flat mate who rode a 125 then just bought the same bike as me (Sports 750) and crashed it within 3 weeks
So you are still alive, have a nice bike and some taste |

Haha, thanks for the vote of confidence - Reliability may come back to haunt me in the future.. (had the engine light on when i picked it up... thanks to a failed lambda sensor) I do love the fact that every day it makes a slightly different sound though!
Also, underseat exhausts provide some great warmth at this time of year...
I'm 6'2" and all the Sports bikes I tried (that I could afford!) were not a comfortable fit, would have required me getting some new rearsets to fit comfortably, Learnt on an ER-5 and was much more comfortable on naked commuters (wa-hey)!
Taste is questionable...
Have attached a picture of the bike after its most recent wash, It's not normally this clean. |

Wrong colour Some people eh....
It needs to be red...or at an absolute last resort pure white.
Get termis on there |

Haha, It was very difficult to walk past the red one and choose white, but in the flesh it looks great.
Its like a Pearl White, a lot whiter than the cream kinda colour it looks in the picture...
Termis are a bit out of reach for me at the moment, best part of £2k when you factor in the racing ECU that is obviously needed |
