Wont start

in simple terms,

bike worked fine on way to work, died off when i started it to go home.

took spark plug out, its got a bit of carbon fouling on it but excessive (going to buy another one anyway).

some book says its due to bad fuel/air mixture so might buy a new air filter.

any other ideas as to what has done it? tried bumping it and it wont work neither.

Without knowing what you've got it's harder. But anyway, something for you to look at - My TZR (two stroke) did the same yesterday. Turned out it had no transmission oil Thumbs Down

nah its all oiled up, and its got a full tank of optimax.

i fixed anyhooooooo...bought the spark plug, stuck in a new air filter (old one was SOAKED!!!) and tried that.

after 20 minutes with the choke on...success!!! it was just the air filter and spark plug. bike is going alot better now as since i've had it its had the original air filter in it from japan which was full of japanese crud, and the spark plug was well worse for wear.

thanks for the tips though, i'll definately keep them in mind if it happens again!!
