Could also then make it easier to organise/search for such maybe.

Instead of having it in the subject how about the option for the OP to press a button which inputs it into the tittle. Might be a bit too much coding but would get used more that way.

Also, while I'm at it - how about increasing the allowed space if one is used. Obvious example is when having to edit a post to add :notworksafe:, but also others it does restrict the space for the subject.

I like BCF because it is not cluttered with crap like this.

Some forums all you see is ads, stupid emoticons everywhere and you can determine peoples message from ads and signatures. PITA.

Leave it as it is and invest the time in finding some bigger servers.
