You'd do much better to spend £1850 on a second-hand "big four" bike such as a Honda or Yamaha, and pay for your own CBT.

Warranty on Chinese bikes isn't worth sh*t..

And by that I mean, you may have to go further afield than your local bike shop. I made a 120 mile round trip yesterday to look at a bike Smile

6kW (8hp)? Does it come with pedals? Try £1600 with a 3 year warranty.

Actually, don't try, it'll cost you 1/3 of its value the moment you sit on it. Forget about buying new, it's not the bike you really want, it's just a tool to get your license. Cash in hand, nab something old, Japanese branded and cheap off of Gumtree.

^Agree, the bike is a tool.

A tool you may or may not keep after you pass - for some people having a super-efficient 125 commuter is amazing, some would instantly sell it to buy themselves a 500.. A tool nonetheless.

It's the reason I'm looking at CG's and YBR's specifically, cause they're free of fancy fairings, less likely to lose value due to any cosmetic damage... Less RISK.

Don't touch it.

If you want a supermoto type bike, grab a CG/YBR for £700-£900, go through the test for £121.50 and then sell that and put money towards a 33hp DRZ400

Care to point out all these YBR's for less than. 900 quids..
Looking for one for my younger brother and they all seem to
be going for upwards of 1.2k

Even cat c salvage is going for close to a grand.

You'd be lucky but occasionally good deals for them do crop up. You just have to be swift and decisive and catch it before someone else does!

I'm having the same trouble of finding a bike for that much for my bro. All seem to be fucked up with no paperwork, or chinese Sick
I was trying to convince him that chinese will likely fall apart, but he just sees shiny shiny new and assumes it'll be reliable Rolling Eyes

I've had lexmoto, I didn't see the fuss, every forum would say it was Chinese sht, but it was great for me, until I reached 5k miles, the list of problems are to long but I know how to care for a bike and this was a dead end, i couldn't find parts for it anywhere, i would have had to of waited weeks for the simple parts i wanted, go with a trusted brand every time, you will save money in the long run, with resale value, repairs and parts.
