So, the pull throttle cable has snapped on my bandit and after ordering new ones and taking the tank off too have a look, I was wondering if there was any way to remove/replace the old cable without taking the carbs off?

It doesn't help that I've got fat hands either!

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Yes. Drop/attach the carb end in the fixing hole first. Then the throtle twist 2nd. Loosen adjusters and pull into Mount on top of carbs. Adjust cable. Job done.

No skinny hands needed

Cheers for the advice, it's much appreciated, but I should clarify: my real problem is removing the snapped cable from the assembly. I can't work out how to unhook the nubby bit at the end from the mount. I can see how to remove the return cable, as it connects above the carbs and just unhooks, but the pull connects underneath and right in the middle and I just can't get a good enough angle to see what I'm supposed to do.

Hope this clears up why I'm having trouble!

As yours is snapped it should be easy. Unsnapped or snapped loosen all adjusters and take apart at bar end first. Where the outer cable sits in a holder near the top of the carbs just grab and pull the outer sleve and your cable will be loose. Just joogle the nipple free. Im not a 100% with your carbs but some suzukis have a screw fixing the outer in place at the top of the carbs.

Awesomes, cheers! I'll have a bash when I get home.

There's few things more irritating than visiting the in-laws while the bike is sat at home and not working!
