Well , Went in to my Mod 2 Today feeling pretty confident , Breezed it the whole way , then near the end i came up to traffic lights , Both lanes backed up with traffic , I stayed in left and it turned out there was a few parked cars at the front , Which then meant i technically held up traffic because i had to indicate in to the right lane , Failed me . 2 minors before that , Personally i think its very harsh , He said to me up until that , i was right up there and had a very good test , I dont understand how i can Avoid that ?? I Cant drive people cars . End of the day ill just need to try and learn from it ! Though im not sure what the lesson is !! I could see the point maybe if it was a full cue of cars , But there were people infront of me who had done the same ! Anyone have any opinions , it would be appreciated , Cheers Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Very Happy

From that I gathered you were queued behind a row of parked cars?

Shame for your failure but I understand where you should be: forward planning means looking, assessing and executing well in advance to avoid these situations. Those other drivers are perhaps blinder and less educated in the rules of the road than you so you cannot use the excuse monkey see monkey do. Sorry mate. Advanced planning is the name of the game in this instance.
Better luck next time. Thumbs Up

people came round in to the left lane , there was already a handful active cars sitting infront of the parked cars , So i came round normally and realized what had happened , Waited for my opportunity and came back out , and continued , Then failed !

If he thought you should of seen the parked cars up front (with the slightly better view a bike gives) or you didn't quite go about the change of lane in the way he would of liked, perhaps that's why he failed you.

If not, seems very harsh. I know you must be feeling pretty pissed off but at least you know where you went wrong and the likelihood is it will be a pass next time.

Which road?

Examiner is a miserable twunt, it goes without saying.

You can filter on your test, if you do it safely. I didn't, and wouldn't have, but it's perfectly legal. Even better if you lose the miserable sod. Thumbs Up

Sounds a bit Harsh to me.

If I was testing someone and they had 8-9 minors you might fail em on that but all added up but only 2 up to then, I'd have let it slide.

Some people have a stick up their jacksy and it aint coming out.

Good Luck for next time. Rebook when ya can and keep checking for cancellations Thumbs Up

I don't understand how he could have failed you for that, as far as I can see it was only a very minor error. Bit of a bastard if you ask me.

That's harsh, I failed my test with only 1 minor (the major was totally my fault though) and it's gutting because I know I can ride well and it's just one silly mistake.

Yours was a mistake but a minor one, shouldn't have been a fail really.

I do feel sorry for you on this Seems a bit harsh to me but!
If you could see cars were switching to the right hand lane before you stopped .Why did you not swap lanes before? Not having a go by the way just trying to gather some more info Thumbs Up Karma

Seems a bit harsh! But then again, its always a worry trying to second guess the examiner of the day and his pet hates. I got pulled up on forward planning on my test coming up to roundabouts, but what the examiner told me that I should have been doing was what I was doing in the first place and my instructor instructed me not to do!!! Grrrrrrr!!

Good luck for next time though mate. Don't give up the good fight!

Harsh luck.

Best just put it out of your mind, take the positives as experience and ace the next one.

Best of luck Thumbs Up

I hear a some pass/fail depends on the day.
If your Mod 2 is at the end of the week, sometimes they'll fail you because they've not failed enough people that week. If they "pass too many people", they get the suits down to examine their testing and make sure they're not being too lenient!

S'only what I heard though. Thumbs Down
Better luck next time anyway man. :3

Seems harsh, one lane being blocked and having to merge in to another is a normal part of driving/riding, as long as you did it safely I would've thought it's a minor at most, which box is the Serious in?

I remember failing my driving test for that too. Woman says, turn right at the roundabout so me being all knowledgeable of the road I got in the right lane nice and early behind this mahoosive lorry. said lorry stopped, no indicators on so I assumed there was a queue at the roundabout. Instead it was a car trying to get into a side road in front of the lorry. me being on the right hand side could see the cars around the left of the lorry so bang. Fail.

They're just cockerhoop most of 'em. You'll smash it next time!
