Sounds like it's siezed up in during the 2 days stood... tight links always seeem to get worse for me, no matter what I do, so they've probably just reached that "too much" point.
I'd say save time and possibly further wear and tear and just get a new chain on there. ____________________ Honda Varadero 125cc => Suzuki Bandit 650 33bhp => 77bhp =>

Lifes a bitch, at the most I lube my chain once a month, which is a little over 1000 miles.
No stiff links, not stretching at all, very rarely needs adjusting. Done nearly 10,000 miles with it so far.

Its a split link! Its just annoying as theres no point changing the chain without the sprockets so it looks like an £80 bill for me

Make sure that when you adjust chain, you do this at the tightest point. Else if you choose the slacker area and adjust, then the tightest part will be so tight and could well make noises you mention
