Want a hook spanner for adjusting rear shock as screwdriver and hammer technique won't do it.

Tried motor shop in village, hardware shop in village, Halfords, maplin , Robert dyas, argos, camberley auto factors, b&q... really wanted one today!

Any ideas please?

Online would be another option but that will take a little while.

Are you friendly with any of the bike shops near you or neighbours?

I've borrowed a couple tools from my local bike place, worth a try IMO Thumbs Up

Local scrap yard? Someone might have left their tool kit in the bike.

One of these pipe wrenches worked fine for me when I needed to adjust my rear shocks. Surprisingly easy to use, and a lot more common!

Before I acquired my C-spanner, I used a hammer and cold chisel a few times Embarassed. Worked, but probably not to be recommended.

Assuming no tool kit with the bike then.

What about a dealer. They will be able to provide exact one as they'll have them in the garage for working on the bikes.

Tool doesn't come in the bikes tool kit.

I see Draper do several different sizes of adjustable ones, anyone know what size would need?

Firstly, lol @ considering it a specialised tool.

and secondly, if you're going to get one, either get the one that's the actual size you're using it for, or get one of these type.

Avoid the little adjustable pivot ones like the plague, as they're just shit in comparison.

Not overly helpful, but the rear shock locked on my Duke, had to take it off and hit it really hard with a hammer to get the rings to move, now what I do is use a decent lube and spray the threads every so often and clean them, makes life so much easier when adjusting Thumbs Up
