my mate recently bought a bike off ebay, its a 50cc AF1, which hes recently repaired with the help of a mechanically minded friend...the thing is, it runs fine, and when you pull away quickly the front wheel comes up, it doesnt do this on my CG which -should- be a good deal more powerful, just wondering, is there any chance it could be a 125 despite it saying in the logbook its a 50, or maybe had a borekit? it also had no indicators when he bought it, or a horn, do you think it could have been tuned for racing, or something?
or maybe its normal for a 50cc 2 stroke bikes front wheel to come up often?

Cheers!

Hi

It could easily have a big bore kit. Many people seem to fit them when they can. These take them to ~70cc (and Aprilia in the UK fitted them to some bikes when new and sold them as an 80).

If it is a 50 / 80 then the chain will be on the left (sitting on the bike) while on a 125 it will be on the right.

All the best

Keith

I say take it apart and find out if its got any modifications or been tuned in anyway, then put it back together. Sorry but i like doing these things any excuse to take engines apart.
