I just booked my theory test, 2 weeks from now.

Just a couple of questions.

How many questions can the test be on, its just I got the motorcyclists cd off ebay and am doing the questions atm and there are about 4000 of them!

Also having had no practice at the hazard perception im confused about what counts as a hazard, would overtaking a parked vehicle count as a hazard seeing as tho you have to correct course and speed? or is it only if say you cant pass because another car is coming and you have to wait? How hazardous is a hazard?

I dunno, when I did my last theory test it was pen and paper! Dinosaours roamed the land....

There are 35 questions and 14 hazard test videos. One of them has two hazards in it.

A hazard is something that is about to cause you to change direction or speed. For example, you would click once when you see some kids on the side of the road and click again if one of them started to cross while your approaching.

I've kept this short as there are many, many threads on the theory test on these forums.

dont take this as gospel but here's one i was told by my instructor who got me thru my test.
when the hazard perception start count to 3 and click, then three and click and so on. he said doing this gives enough to pass. he told me after i had taken my theory test so like i said dont take it as gospel.

I did my theory and hazard perception a few weeks ago. The best thing to do is concentrate on the areas you are weak at using the CD. Most of it is pretty easy.

As for the hazard perception, all I did was click when I saw any hazard, waited a few seconds, clicked again for good measure, and when the hazard was about to develop, did the same again. Just don't click quickly, and don't click in a sequence, otherwise it may think you are cheating.

I got myself a copy of the theory test and the hazard awareness test, and in the readme it says that they've stopped this working (or at least something similar, it refers to patterns). However, while I've been playing with it I've found that if you pretty much click everytime you see something new, you'll pass. The number of clicks you're allowed is absurdly high (most of the time I used less than a third of the number permitted).

AceRimmer, just have a look in the readme. If you've the same version as me, it details pretty much what to respond to Thumbs Up

Well ive just sat my theory test (other week). As said there is 35 questions to be answered, the pass mark is 30.

With the hazard perception, you may find it a little weird because you have had no practice on it. Even though there may only be one hazard on a certain clip you dont want to be thinking i only need to click once. I did an average of around 8 clicks per clip and i passed with 58 out of 75. The pass mark on the hazard perception is 44.

But all in all keep calm, and just think of good times ahead.
