I was going round the outside of traffic, A woman pulls straigh across into a turning on the right, I hit her, the bikes pretty mashed Got a doctors appoitment in an hour but i feel fine, Just a check up kinda thing. Bummer

She got a witness saying it was my fault that i was going round the outside of traffic, I've got one saying she just pulled out on me.

Yeah i'd be worried about the damage. And then sue the bitch for whatever its worth.
Go back tot he crash site and have a look around to try and find evidence to prove yourself innocent.

Yams, you know where stakes is? In Water-looville? The front fairing is smashed, and the screen, brace is bent, all the other fairings are fine, clocks are smashed and bent. Thats all i can see at the moment, will post a pic later.

That's the fairing, it still attaches to the mid fairings, holds headlight etc and screen securely but will need a bit of bodging for the mirror brackets.. but if yours is completely fooked then it'll get you on the road at least

Where does the law stand on overtaking on the outside of a queue of traffic? I know it's illegal to undertake a queue. But what about filtering up the middle and overtaking on the outside of traffic? I read a police motorcycle hand book before i got my bike and all i can remember from it about filtering up the middle is that you have to be very careful. I don't recall it saying it was illegal. Can't remember if it mentioned anything about going around the ooutside though

If it was stationery then it is her fault, it's when it's moving slightly or you were going too fast that it gets sticky.

While doing the DAS they could of just told me to look out for stuff. No in the bike test there is far more emphasis on observation, specific observation. Ok so its more of a priority for a bike. I did my car test 13 years ago but still I don't remember that much emphasis on specific observations. I feel the bike test was much more rigid.

Update: Shes contacted her insurance and they are going to contact me to tell me where to have it fixed. I can't wait to get back on the road! Missing my bike already lol, The longest I've been off the road since i passed is 1 day. At least it hasn't put me off bikes.

The bikes a lump of metal and plastic, if its broke you can buy a new one. The same cannot be said for arms or legs. Glad to see your allright

Well having now seen the bike... crash bungs are worth their weight in gold. Not a scratch on the side fairing, although the front end's about as messed up as it can be without bending the forks (least they look ok).

Methinks I might have a day off riding tomorrow: Today zxr400er has a car pull out on him. Yesterday another mate of ours had.... a car pull out on him. I don't really want to have that 'bad things comes in threes' theory come true tomorrow.

Are drivers round here extra special stupid, or is it just all of 'em?
