Lol, you want 17" with knobblies?
Why?
Its an SM.
If you really want to go offroad then youll you need 21" front and 18" rear with probably a calliper adapter for small front disc. ____________________ Current Bikes - BMW S1000RR ‘17 & KTM 690 SMC-R ‘12 |

I want to use it off road obviously
The place I go is mostly gravel so if the knobblies are too fat it will cause problems.
Didn't think of changing the wheel size, seems like a lot of hassle, somewhere must sell the tyres i'm looking for.. |

A 160/60 knobbly, assuming you could get one, which I doubt, probably wouldn't work anyway, it wouldn't allow the tyre to dig in enough to get any grip, it would just slide all over the place!
You need to buy proper off road rims, as has already been stated. ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

You can get Conti TKC80's in 120/70-17 and 150/70-17.
I sold and fitted a pair the other week. Very strange looking in that size, and as already said a 120 section front would be a pain off road.

Swapping wheels is a lot less hassle that swapping tyres on a KTM |

I did think the tyres i'd found wouldn't have much grip offroad, that's why I was looking for 'knobblier' tyres.
Can anyone help in finding some offroad rims, or at least what sizes I will need.
Here are the specs of my bike:
Chassis, suspension, brakes and wheels
Frame type: Tubular trellis steel frame (CrMo)
Rake (fork angle): 27.0°
Trail: 112 mm (4.4 inches)
Front suspension: WP USD
Front suspension travel: 275 mm (10.8 inches)
Rear suspension: WP mono shock with Pro Lever Linkage
Rear suspension travel: 265 mm (10.4 inches)
Front tyre dimensions: 120/70-17
Rear tyre dimensions: 160/60-17
Front brakes: Single disc
Front brakes diameter: 300 mm (11.8 inches)
Rear brakes: Single disc
Rear brakes diameter: 240 mm (9.4 inches)
I am clueless with things like this so any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I would imagine that wheels from a 690 Enduro would be a direct fit.
Brake discs and sprocket may well be different though.
Ask G, he may well know.
