Clutch plate change query

Hi all,

My clutch has started slipping so i have some new clutch plates to put in.

I have a few (probably noobie) questions before i crack on.

1- There's a pipe running into the clutch cover (see photos), and i have no idea what it is. Can i remove it to take the clutch cover off, or will this have dyer fluid loss consequences Crying or Very sad ?

2-i will need to remove the header pipe. I assume i am okay to just pull it off, there's nothing else i need do? No fluid loss involved here?

Maybe I'm not understanding your question but is there a reason that you don't want to drain the oil? Seems a good time to do an oil change if you are changing the plates.

The pipe on the side looks like it might be the oil feed. From the photo it doesn't look like it needs to come off.

In the forum I linked to someone mentioned about leaning the bike right over so that you didn't have to drain the oil. Have a read.

Yeah, you can do this on most bikes. Makes life a lot easier seeing what you're doing too.
