I blew an industrial Xpelair unit off of a pub window (Ruskin Arms) with a medium maroon in the early 80s. We used to use a heavy galvanised bin without the lid as a bomb bin and I had it set up under the window at the side of the stage. I reckon someone got the black powder quantities wrong in that particular maroon - it split the seam and caused the bottom of the bin to blow out as well.  |

a) You might use it in a robbery.
b) You might be seen with it in the street and trigger a full armed response.

Oh yeah...you might use the caps, in quantity, to make a bomb.
You might, however, be ok if you get one that's bright pink and carry a large banner stating "THIS IS A CHILDS TOY CAP-GUN!!!" But inform the local police first, by telephone, email, facebook, twitter and in writing (send it recorded-delivery). And be sure to have a section-1 firearms certificate too. It's a cap-gun, a lethal weapon to be treated with the utmost respect. Go on a firearms training-course first, obviously.
Personally, if I was you, I'd start with a water-pistol first. A pink one. With a range no greater than five feet. And again, inform the police first. And take at least ten forms of ID with you to the toy-shop.
