I'm going for the caustic soda approach as I don't have a blow torch nor am I too comfortable with dumping it in a fire and blowing it out

Anyone got any tips on doing this
Or anyone in the Northampton area to help?

The newer soda widely available is not as strong, i seperated the pipe from bike and end can, plugged one end with a potato and filled with water and the solution / soda, cant remember if i used boiling water.

I left it in my water butt for 2 days, and hosed it out until no bits coming out, hosed out from both ends.

If i can do it then you can. Consider if you need to stick new A4 - bolts back on with a new gasket, using zorst paste ? Thumbs Up

I was told not to use a potato because the soda will just eat the fucker,
What else could I use to block the end of the pipe?
I don't think I'll be making a caustic volcano, I like my skin Wink

OH and also, I have noticed that we're the wafer pipe attaches to the cylinder head it's kinda loose!
Would have any major affect on it and could this be the source of warm sensations I feel on my legs while riding?

The header pipe shouldnt be loose. What you can feel on your leg is exhaust gas.

Probably just needs the nut/nuts tightening up, unless a stud has wound itself out.

Well I live on billing aquadrome, just off the A45 away from town

Would this loose bolt have a major affect on the performance? Because of loss of pressure to the expansion chamber?

I'm gonna do it next week when I'm skint and have no fuel cuz I'm always out and about on it so can't be doing with leaving my pipe to soak for 24 hours.

ANYONE GOT ANY TIPS ON FITTING AN FMF PIPE ONTO MY BIKE?
As its not a Japanese make I'd hVe to just buy one and find a way of fitting it, but how different they be surely??

I wanna remove the end can so I can clean that separately as its aluminium, but I'm baffled by this thing

minimise the volcano effect by adding the caustic soda to the water (not the other way round) it might feel like the spewing foaming reaction is doing good in your pipes but this is just how caustic reacts when you add water to it.

Aha do you think I could do that and click the letters I wanted too?
I spilt beer on my laptop keyboard and te keys would press what they like
If I pressed "f" it would press "hdjdbdk"

But back on the subject of bikes

Would a metrakit 16tooth front sprocket be too much for a derestricted 50cc derbi senda? I get 50mph out of it with a 14

To save the expense of a new thread, I've seen several on cleaning a stroker zorst... None for a 4stroke? Does nobody clean their 4 stroke exhausts? Is it pointless? Does the minimal carbon deposit in a 4 stroke not make a difference? Is everyone just lazy? Do people not care?!

Anyway... Fancy making my Yoshi like new again, and I wanna do the inside and the outside.
