Well I have finally finished it (ish), just gotter put on the carbon fiber tarty bits (yoke cover, fule cap cover, tank protector and hanger covers). You might notice no mud guard... Well I am gonna use a 916 mud guard, it's all painted up but need slight adjustment first. Anyway what do ya think? Bare in mind it's had:
- Replacement engine (now 24,000 km, rather than 90,000km),
- RGV 250 shock,
- Replaced all breaks (others beyond repair),
- New front end (I like the USDs, no other reason),
- New FULL exhaust system (other had rusted all over),
- All fairing repaired and resprayed by me (except tank),
- Wheels sanded back to metal and resprayed (by me),
- Full Tasty Nuts fairing kit / fuel cap kit,
- Rebuilt carbs,
- If I think of anything else I'll tell yas.

Hope people like it,

Cheers,
Diehard

I remember hearing that the bike was in a bit of a state when you first bought it... can safely say it looks great now Thumbs Up even for a GSXR400 Laughing Top job on the paint and everything else you've done to it Thumbs Up Wish I could do stuff like that! I like people that put a lot of effort into things... always annoys me because I can never be bothered to stick with something and do something as cool as that .. one day I might actually learn to start something and finish it Rolling Eyes

Top job Thumbs Up

You've done a great job of making it look stylishly good.. not like half of the garishly painted bikes a lot of people make. I think a gold screen would ruin the bike.. Dark tint would keep in touch with the nice subtleness that you've already created... subtle is always better Thumbs Up Although the choice is up to you though, your bike Smile

What VFR have you got then??

I have a dark tint screen, but it's scratched to hell and back, I'll see what I come across first, cheers. As for the VFR, it's an NC24 (I know old but it has only done 8,000 mile since then (all MOTs to prove {since inport anyway}, and has had new brake pads, discs and tires only 2 weeks before it was written off). Only reason it was a write off is because a hanger broke off, no fairng cracks at all, just paint flake. I have already got a new frame and an RVF 400 swingger on it's way. Gonna put RVF front end on it and jack up the rear, underseat exhaust, and single seat unit, also RVF nose fairing. Well thats the plan anyway. Oh and it cost me £320. Not bad... Well I think so anyway.

If you put a shiny gold screen on that bike, I will personally come round and beat you until you see sense. Smile

Good bike, though is it me or does that paint job remind me of the paint job that is black but goes like that bike when the sun heats it up or something like this.

Confused

Very nice work Surprised

I guess the paint is blended rather than some sort of fancy flip two tone spangly doober paint?

It looks tarty, without being over the top and covered in anodized everything, no gold screen please Smile

Cheers for the views ppl Thumbs Up , Annabella, the forks are off the Gk76 (next version of the GSXR), and the forks, yokes and clip-ons fit straight on, did it all alone, that's how easy it was. As for hangers, I can get some for ya, PM me.
The paint is blended, not flip, takes some doing and practace tho Confused

Paintjob needs lacquering and polishing, otherwise I think it looks good for an old Gixxer.

It does look sweet, just I've a couple of questions.. What is the pipe that comes out of the fuel tank on so many Suzukis, and what is that metal tubular thing sticking out on the right hand side just below the exhaust (on the rear profile)?
