The remake was in production many years ago... but last I heard it got canned during the writers strike due to lack of funding or something...

Yet again another semi-decent movie that Hollywood feel the need to fuck up good and proper rather than leave it as a classic.

As much as I want to see remakes with better effects etc... I'm only reminded of a few of the disasters.... OK most of the remakes they've had rewritten by morons directed by children it seems.

I should point out that I loved Robocop and when I heard they were going to remake it I did get quite excited... but it was a case of 'it's being made...','no it's not','it is','OK it's definitely not now'... now there is this to say that yet again it is being remade... I'm not going to hold my breath... and the way movies are being..... "dumbed down"... I don't want them to make it anymore
