Off with the wheel and give the drum a clean. Lube all moving parts and replace shoes if needed.

It's not really a warranty issue - it's a common problem with drum brakes. There's nowhere for the dust that's abraded off of the friction material to go and it causes the shoe surface to become glazed.

Standard fix is to remove the wheel and clean the drum out. Removing any glaze on the shoe surface will help too. Use a 120 grade sand or emery paper and go lightly.

Did you readjust the brake after you adjusted the chain tension?

Parts? Adjust the brake as per normal using the adjuster on the end of the brake rod. Your manual will tell you how.

Fair enough but in future (and it will happen again) just remove the wheel, clean the dust out of the drum, and rough up the friction lining. It doesn't take long and it's dead easy to do. Thumbs Up

I should have said just go to the dealers at the start. Why ask if you are not willing to learn and save cash?
