Do you cycle a lot and do a lot of high impact sports?
Get it looked at else you'll be on crutches/walking sticks by the time you're 50
No it's not normal for it to be 'unbearable'
You're wearing down your cartilage, can give you arthritis in the knee, fucking sucks ____________________ Fzr-600 1999 |

Check your pedals are the same distance out from the middle of the frame.
If you're using SPD pedals, make sure the cleats are in the same place on both.
Get someone to follow you and check you're sitting on the bike square. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Pain where? Outside of knee cap? Above knee cap?
If outside, I get it while running and cycling.

Hi
I've just got back from seeing a specialist who has set up my new pedals, cleats and shoes. He said that he saw a chap who had serious knee pain and it was a matter of moving his cleat a only a couple of mm on the affected shoe. 3 months later the guy was pain free.
Probably unlikely you will be able to see sat on your bike - I would get someone else (who knows what they are looking at) to check and adjust.
And Alpha - runners have stronger knees than non-runners.
