if you have an alarm you can manually trigger, go park your bike near the entrance to tescoor other supermarket/store, sit down somewhere, having a ciggy or something and when kids (or adults) go to touch your bike manually trigger the alarm.

I sometimes set my bike alarm off when people get too close to it.

I use it to annoy my housemate. He once put a box of Tory party leaflets on it and set the alarm off while I was out. War was declared at that moment.

It has a mute option, which makes the lights flash the first time it senses movement before going off noisily. I only use the full volume setting now to encourage him from using my bike as a tory tool.

Used to remote start my car when kids sat around it. Was stupidly loud and they soon moved.

fair enough.

did it to a cat that was on the bike, never seen one move so fast.

but mine has a 2 stage alarm, one is it chirps and flashes 5 times, the second is the full on alarm, only ever triggered to the full on alarm once. purely by mistake

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I amused myself at work with my bike on the other side of the car park while I was at my desk.

Someone was on their mobile standing by it - I couldn't hear the alarm beep but watching his reaction was most gratifying! Twisted Evil
