To 'many' bikers are the deviants of highways law and order. No amount of discussion will change their minds. ................... Because in reality they don't want to have their minds changed.

So I wonder what they would make of this report when the copper states that it is mainly middle aged 'normally' law abiding guys that are the highest offenders.?

A possible solution to that problem is to have dedicated bits of asphalt built specifically for people to do what they like on. This way the only people being injured are the ones willing to take all the risks.
The asphalt or whatever in question doesnt even need to be a road or circuit, just a long stretch of something that could be used to drage race a few cars for a mile or so. The idea being that the racers can go somewhere without hassle from the police or having to fork out a fortune for a track day which still has too many rules anyway.

Have to wonder how many of the "400" really are middle-aged, law-abiding citizens. Smile

That idea is far too sensible to be considered!

Alas, where there's blame, there's a claim. Too many people out there looking to sue someone, anyone, when something goes wrong. Despite what they might have signed promising not to.

That's because they are correct. Most bikers only obey the road traffic laws that suit them or they don't think they could get away with breaking.

I, for one, only obey the speed limit when road conditions or the capabilities of the motorcycle I'm on make me.

I saw this on the news, and I was expecting to see boy racers going round corners really fast, racing each other and potentially loosing it.......

What you actually see is inattentive drivers, driving into the back of stationary objects (whether thats two cars at a set of lights is immaterial)

Who's the twat, the guys waiting on the startline - blocking the road, or the twat who can't see them and drive into the back of stationary objects. ( just hope that, those same drivers who can't see a car, can actually see a motorcyclist - well, here's hoping anyway).

Not the best report I've ever seen, and I doubt will be the last.

The Germans call it the Nurburgring.

The Germans call it the Nurburgring.

And your insurance policy most likely has a specific exemption for it.

Likewise, any bits of road in the UK where this might be sanctioned would have to be private roads to which where the public does not enjoy a general right of access, in order to avoid our insurers having to cover Bobby Beemer's inadequacies.

Well, I though that you've got there hundreds of race tracks, each big city that used to had an WW2 airport has been rebuilt into the track. So why would any one raced a car on the open road Confused

I don't get it, I've got to blame tv and rap music Laughing

You've just invented Nurburgring! Smile
