If I recall correctly 9" is roughly 230mm, that gash looks to be a paltry 40mm ( or 1 5/8"), iodine, butterfly sutures and a stiff drink should more than suffice. Hope you gave whatever it was that bit you a good whack.

Angle grinder wounds are a bitch to heal, they never bleed much as the disk cauterises the gash but that means it heals like a burn (slowly) rather than a cut.

Yes it was a ginder.
Was cutting a stiffener out of a Mafi flat, from underneigth and the disc bit. Lost my grip of the handle so went to grab it again and missed, which is what caused that.

The picture was taken at the medical centre, when the nurse was going to get more stuff to clean it. Amazing how much grit and bits of disc were in it.
Even taken a noggin out of the bone.

Still hurts like a bitch now.
