Yep i got my module 2 tomorrow in tolworth, I'm not feeling optimistic as my right battered bruised arm hasn't healed since my crash and it affects my riding.

Also I'm just a tad bit confused, when i searched the post code (KT6 7RZ) of the the supposed test center at tolworth all i got was a residential area, not the typical big dsa test centre. Sorry if this is noobish, i have never been down there.

I know it's done to death but you'll be riding with a satnav in your ear.

Also, there's no such thing as test conditions, if they know you're putting on an act they'll probably mark you down and fail you for it. Just ride as you normally would, with all the little mistakes that you usually make, and you'll be fine Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up Also if im not sure im on a 20mph road say for example im in a residential area, would it be smart just to hover at the speed of say 22mph.

Get there nice and early and have a ride around the local area.

Try not to think to much, not knowing the area can be of great benefit.

Enjoy and come back with that Stffkit!! Mr. Green

You need to do the speed limit of the road if safe, 20 in a 30 would be a fail going from previous posts.

20mph zones have repeaters on the road.

If its 20 limit, ride along with your needle on 20!

might be alright riding slower...

I had a road i didn't know if it was a 20 or not but the roads were wet and there were parked cars everywhere so stuck to 20 until the end of the road, turns out it was a 30 but didn't' get any mark downs for it as it was probably interpreted as 'riding for the conditions'

a good way to check is look for side roads with speed changes, eg you're pootling down the road, there's 20 signs on the street to your left means you're not in a 20 at the moment.

You must have some seriously bad karma. Either or just be absent-minded because you were nervous. I'm guessing the latter.

On the bright side, you didn't fail. No 10-day waiting period, or anything. You can take the slot of the next poor person who fails their mod 1. As you can see from this forum, there are no shortages of those. Call hourly until they give you one next week. Buck-up and get it over with, already!

I was so paranoid about this i put all my docs in an envelope, checked the night before, checked the morning 3 times, checked when i got to the bike school and checked again when i got to test centre.

There was another lad taking his when i did mine who left his docs in his car at the bike school, roughly 20 miles from the test centre, had to get someone to bust his window and bring them up for him.

That's totally bum, and gives me chance to rant once more about how archaic the UK seems to be, for such an apparently modern country.

You weren't allowed to do the test because you didn't have the little bit of paper to prove you'd done the first bit?! Surely it's easier and, as a bonus, better for the environment (saves paper!) if all this info is stored on an online database. All you'd need to do is rock up with one little code, or passport, or whatever, to prove your ID, and then they could check you out on their database and see that you've met all the pre-requisites for the test.

Unlucky bud Thumbs Up

Bring on a bit of modernisation. I'm all for technology in this archaic, bureaucratic, 'all on paper' system we have at the moment!
