Ahhhh, my favourite psychopathic French tw@. Thumbs Up

That's Eric Theboule, and his hydrogen peroxide powered bike. If you think it looks fast in the clip, you really need to see it in the flesh, it's a completely mental thing to watch. The scariest thing is that once he hits the button, it runs until the fuel runs out so he has to measure his fuel load very carefully. Loony. Laughing

Do they just run off a "Go" button rather than a throttle?

A rocket engine I believe? They're either on or off. Solid ones are only on.

As for how he doesn't just flip, I'm not sure if the rear wheel is even powered. I'd suggest not as there isn't any spinning or anything. He's just lying on a missile with two wheels and no wings.

I see he done that quarter mile at 183mph. And I thought 18aprilia's 1.3sec 0-60 was good.

Yup, fecking mad isn't it. You do the count down, he hits the button, and he's off. The last time I saw him (Bulldog Bash, this year) we were about 3/4 of the way down the strip, and you could hear the fuel cut out just before he reached us. Even then he still did the quarter in under 5 seconds with a terminal speed in excess of 240mph (I forget the exact details, I was drunk ffs, but I could probably look them up). Apparently, because he'd never done the strip at Long Marston before, he deliberately put in too little fuel so that he didn't misjudge the run off area, and as a result he was particularly disappointed with his time.............Nutter. Thumbs Up

WELL worth a look if you get chance.

No, because that would have meant it went more than 200 yards from his house.
