Dont know whether you are on here or not, but wanted to say thank you to the biker that stopped today to make sure I was ok, after I crashed.
Couldn't see what you were riding due to being neck braced and strapped to a spinal board, but was much appreciated having a fellow biker there through out.
Stayed until the ambulance took me off and even took some pictures on my phone for me to.

I hit the curb about where the police car is, and ended up getting between the post and tree. Lady in car behind said my head missed the post by 6 inches.

How far from lamp post bike ended:

How much further from bike I eventually stopped:

Ok, I'll ask; how did your back wheel get to hit that high up?

Was the ramp removed before the photos were taken?

Glad you're in one piece though. It looks like it could've been a bad one.

Front wheel skidded and hit the curb and just seemed to stop dead. Back wheel though mounted curb, got flung up and over the front and 'SMACK'

All ive got is a small 1" scratch on my wrist and a graze on my knee about the size of a 5p.
Other than that just bruises and pulled muscles down my back and ribs.

Subframe looks straight and chain perfectly adjusted.

Glad you got away lightly with that, could have been much worse!

You lucky, lucky, lucky bastard missing that post and tree! Glad you're alright, looks like a pretty serious accident there.

Can't remember who it was on here, said they lost it at 30mph on a roundabout and hit a lamp post and had all kinds of lacerations and liver damage or something.

You are seriously lucky to be alive mate, I would be walking (crawling) around high as a kite I was still alive after that! Karma

Looks like the road to Loomies, A32.

As said a few times. Your lucky to come off pretty much unscathed. I've seen lesser accidents with serious injury as the result. You must have been traveling somewhat though to hit the lamp post that high.

But good to see you dont need replaced. Bike does though.

Really glad to hear that your injuries are relatively small all things considered. However, I agree that you are likely to be one stiff mother tomorrow!

Given how lucky you seem to have been today can you let me know what numbers you pick for the lottery next weekend please?

I know the road. Thats nat limit. I've been known to hammer it down there on occasion. Will remember to take this into account next time. Greasy road.

Hi mate, yes it was me. Hope you're all ok?

I did think that any biker would want photos, so offered to take a few on your phone. I must have been a minute behind you, as all I saw was some woman flapping in the road and your shit everywhere.

The other person (car driver) did get the ambulance called straight away, which was all good. And she got a blanket for you too... No cup of tea though.

I take it you had a top box? That was miles back too, must have bounced off the lamppost. You're headlight landed about a metre away from your head too. Your waterproof trousers were ok though!

To be fair, the road was wet there as it's under trees. It's also a NSL to everyone who doesn't know the area!

I was speaking to the Police Offer after, and you're very lucky - you went between the lamppost and the tree - and must have rolled for ages. You did land on the spongiest grass ever - took me ages to get mud off my boots before I left.

I was thinking after the event, I should have mentioned these forums (Actually, did I? I can't remember if I did or not). But all the car drivers would have thought that a bit sad though.

Oh, that paramedic lady was fit wasn't she!

LOL Very Happy Cracking stuff.

As said above by many others, very glad to hear you are ok. Take it really easy over the next few days, take some rest and recover properly.

Hope the injury doesn't cost you too much. If the police took your bike, I recommend you get someone to go and collect it because they charge per day.

All the best,
Dan

Hehe the ambulance man did show me my head light.
Seemed to have faired quite well considering it wasn't attached to the bike any longer and travelled as far as I had.
The lady from the car behind said my head missed the post by about 6 inches, if I'd have hit it I'd be a gonner according to the paramedics. Felt like I rolled a mile to be honest, and took in most of the grass and leaves with me to the hospital in my jacket

And she was a bit of alright wasn't she. Laughing

That's the one... fuck me, 30mph and doing all that damage and this guy narrowly misses a tree and a post and walks away relatively unharmed... luck of the draw is a bastard!

I was on my XJ6-F Diversion. I was taking it easy as it's got new rear brake pads and tyre. Also, I'm a wus when it's cold.

To be fair, would you as a biker want photos if you crashed? I certainly would.

I was going to take them on my phone and send them later, but that seemed a bit gay exchanging numbers to send pics to each other later.

If I ever come off, can someone take lots of photos for me to ponder over later?
