So I was riding home from work last night along the Rainford Bypass and I noticed one of the 'Think Bike' signs had a big hole through the middle like someone had punched it. Odd, I thought. Then riding in today I saw one completely ripped off it's post, and one kind half hanging off the post, ripped through the middle.

So c'mon, own up, who pissed someone off along the Rainford Bypass and caused them to take it out on the innocent signs? It wasn't me Smile

I lived for a while in South America (and will soon pay a visit again) - most rural road signs were full of bullet holes, and quite a lot of those in the smaller towns & villages. Just the locals playing when they come home pissed from the bars. Mind you, they are pissed most of the time anyway.

I seem to recall in Jupiters Travels, he recounts he kept seeing signs with bullet holes in them; he couldn't understand what teh sign said, so when he got to a city, he asked an English-Speeking native.

It will be the pleas on push bikes who refuse to use the very wide cycle lanes either side of the bypass but instead ride in packs on the road.
That is a brilliant stretch of road to ................ have a bit of fun shall we say.
Nice pub just off there as you get to the east lancs clued The Bottle and Glass. They do some nice meals.

Don't forget that TV executives canned the proposed series: "CSI- St Helens".
They realised that no-one had any dental records and they all have the same DNA.

Aye you're quite right, it's the road I rode along to and from my Mod 1 & 2, and the road I now have to ride along every day I go to work, know it quite well - it's always fairly quiet and I have not yet seen a police car on it - sods law I will this week now I've said that!

Yes the Bottle and Glass is a lovely place, there's also one in Bickerstaffe called the Sandpiper which is pretty decent, do a good pie!

I do wonder how many motorcyclists have come off and actually hit one of those signs Laughing
