CBT tomorrow!

Well, I've had to cancel it twice now in the last 2 months, but i'm definitely doing my CBT tomorrow!
I'm really excited and really worried all at the same time!

Some tit i know crashed the bike into the wire fence of the playground his cbt was being held in, he still passed.

Relax and you'll breeze through it. I had some twat ex-army guy instructing me and he always made me feel realy nervous. He also made me run a red light which means i failed and had to come back for a second day...

If you do everything fine, its near impossible to fail.

Just remember, its not a test... just basic training to make sure your capable.

I wont be able to afford a bike for a while, but I had my heart set on either a RS or an NSR Then again, if i do some serious saving, and then do my test, by the time i'm 18 next April i can go straight onto a 400 or bigger? Well, depending on the insurance that is

The RS is such a high insurance group for the bike it is, I doubt insurance will be much different to a slightly older 400.

Good luck, it's nothing to worry about hopefully the weather will be kind tomorrow.

It might better if you'd have to wait a while to buy an NSR or an RS to consider getting an older cheaper bike, you can pick up the older NSR models reasonably cheaply in the free ad papers. Also you're able to do your test at the age of 17 if you want to.

There were traffic lights on the roundabout (silly place to put them if you ask me) and they were about to change to red. As my instructor was an arsehole and was making me feel nervous, he said "Go! go!". So i went and the light changed to red as i was going through.

Then he failed me.

I was going to wait but then he would have probably been even more annoying.

when I took mine it wasnt about failing, the guy told me he had to spend three days with a girl but still got her through it. I asked if it had cost him a fortune, and he said he just brought her along everyday for the one fee. guess you have to find someone who genuinely cares about bikers and not just about the money!

Villers, apparantley the company i'm doing my CBT with work roughly the same as that company you mentioned did with the girl who took 3 days. If i dont do well enough tomorrow they'll just bring me back on Friday until i'm ok They seem like a nice company

Can you actually ride a bike yet girl?

If you can, believe me it's a walk in the park, I could only see it being a problem for someone if they hadn't ridden one and got nervous about being on one

LOL, when I did my CBT I was on a pink and white 50cc Honda scooter, dunno what it was but I felt a complete twat riding it about

They use Yamaha SR125's and scooters too, but i'm using the Yamaha. I thought it would be better to learn on a geared bike seeing as i have no intention of buying a scooter

My gf did hers a few months ago, Took her awhile to master the clutch but enjoyed it after that, She has her full DAS next Friday! She's been practising on my ZX6R. Doing really well, Got her doing one handed rolling burnouts

Enjoy yourself, then take your time finding a bike that you like and that suits you. Don't rush out onto a large bike, and there is plenty of fun to be had on little bikes.

when you are on the off road part of the cbt practise clutch control as much as possible i.e finding the biting point and moving off from a standing start

as this will help you when going onto the road

The CBT was doddle, though I suppose I did do it on a scooter. The good CBT school I went too has offered me a free 3 hour session in learning how to use gears for when I want to ride a 125, without having to take the CBT again. Bonus.
